Greeting From the Headmaster
What is a classical Christian education?
The short answer is that it is an education in which the students read the classics and understand them from a thoroughly Biblical perspective.
By the classics, we do not simply mean modern classic novels, although we read those, too. Our students begin studying antiquity, as far back as Genesis and the Code of Hammurabi and then they read the notable works that the Western mind has produced in the last 4500 years. In doing so, we study ancient, medieval and modern literature, history and philosophy.
This vision of education has been re-vitalized in America in the last thirty years. Many classical Christian schools are popping up and the results are nothing less than stunning.
We, at Pactum Christian Academy, share this vision of educating young men and women to think about the world, from antiquity to the present, as Christians. Our vision is represented in this. We want them to think, and we want them to be Christians. Our goal is to help make them better human beings so that they can masterfully fulfill whatever calling God has upon their lives.
We hope that you will join us in this endeavor.
Please feel free to call or email with any questions. We would be pleased to have you visit the school and see what great things the children are learning.
To God be the Glory,
Virgil Hurt
